How to Replace / Remove Acer Aspire 5535 / 6530 / 6930 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G Keyboard

In this case, the actual laptop is Acer Aspire 6930, its keyboard is the same with Acer 5535 / 6530 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G keyboard.

1. Turn off your Acer Aspire 5535 / 6530 / 6930 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.

3. Turn the computer over and open the LCD module to expose the Switch Cover.

4. Lift the Switch Cover as shown, and place over the keyboard.

IMPORTANT:Do not remove at this point. FFC cables are still attached on the underside.

5. Disconnect the two FFC cables as shown. Remove the switch cover.

6. Lift and turn the Acer Aspire 5535 / 6530 / 6930 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G keyboard over (as shown) to expose the FFC.

7. Unlock the connector and pull the FFC to remove. Remove the Acer Aspire 5535 / 6530 / 6930 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G keyboard from the chassis.

8. Reverse the procedure to install you new Acer Aspire 5535 / 6530 / 6930 / 7730 / 8920 / 8920G keyboard.
